THE BEE'S KNEES

THE BEE'S KNEES

THE BEE'S KNEES

The Bee's Knees is one of those classic cocktails that every home bartender should know. It's classy and timeless and has only three ingredients. Not to mention, it's a great excuse to get out your champagne coupes and take some Insta-worthy photos of a cocktail that looks like something a Prohibition-era bartender would be serving to elbow length glove-wearing ladies in an underground pub.

So, without further ado, here's how to make a classic Bee's Knees!

INGREDIENTS

2.5 oz. Gin (typically my go-to is a botanical gin, but for this classic libation, a quality dry gin is perfect)

0.25 oz. Honey syrup (1:1 honey and water cooked just long enough to dissolve any crystalized sugar in the honey)

1 lemon

DIRECTIONS

Cut one lemon twist, then juice the lemon and add the juice to a cocktail shaker.

Add the honey syrup and gin, then fill the shaker with ice. Shake, then strain into a champagne coupe and garnish with the lemon twist.
